When to choose PeopleHR
PeopleHR separates Starter, Core, Pro and Elite+. Core adds onboarding and e-signatures; Pro adds performance management and timesheets; Elite+ lists configurable workflows, a custom report builder and single sign-on. Price the edition that includes your required features.
Ask for the first edition that includes your required onboarding, review and reporting features. If manager reviews are essential, a Starter-based comparison is misleading. Its managed-payroll service is a separate purchase; agree which payroll tasks the supplier will perform.
Compare the full edition price with alternatives covering the same performance, reporting and access requirements. Ask the salesperson to operate those requirements in the quoted edition, not a fully enabled demonstration account.
What belongs in your quote
Price the edition that includes the required performance, workflow and access features.
Include the required modules, add-ons and any separately charged setup in the total.
Three things to settle before buying
- Demonstrate a starter, a leave correction and the handoff to retained payroll in the quoted edition.
- Price today’s workforce and the next likely headcount band, with necessary add-ons.
- Specify the data import, policy setup, training and responsibility for corrections.
Which alternatives belong on your shortlist?
Employee records, leave, documents and routine HR reports for a fixed headcount band
Trade-off: compare the total after required add-ons and your next headcount band
Employee records, onboarding, leave and regular performance reviews
Trade-off: at 75 people, core costs £148 more per month than Breathe, before VAT; compare the onboarding and review features you need.
Sense HR Elite
Custom employee fields and screens, Report Writer, payroll connections and access roles
Trade-off: requires someone on your team to maintain the custom fields, reports and access settings
