When we would shortlist TriNet
TriNet describes a flat per-employee monthly administrative charge with separate benefit costs and payroll taxes. Its FAQ states that a minimum worksite headcount applies; it does not publish a standard list price.
Invite it when you want a clearly separated service quote alongside the other proposals. Do not copy the FAQ's hypothetical employee rate into your budget as an offer. A salary increase does not itself change a flat per-person administrative fee, but other invoice components can change.
Choose another finalist if your team is below the minimum headcount or the full cost exceeds another suitable proposal. Ask for the same census and employer contribution policy across bids. Compare the proposed health plans as well as the administration fee.
What belongs in the quote
Request a scoped service and benefits proposal. No comparable public total is established here.
A service fee is not the full employment budget. Compare the same workforce census and benefit elections, then separate administration, employer contributions, insurance, payroll funding, setup and exit charges.
Questions for the proposal
Reconcile the administrative fee, minimum commitment and benefits funding separately. Compare identical benefit elections.
List the payroll, benefits and HR tasks the PEO will perform, the tasks your team retains and any extra charges in the proposal.

Did we test the service?
No. This is an editorial assessment of attributed supplier documentation and the existing buying research. Reliability, usability and service quality were not measured in a live customer test.

Sources and research scope
US buying research checked 1 October 2026. Provider descriptions establish advertised scope, not measured service quality. Rankings are conditional editorial preferences, separate from EOR Atlas scores. Rippling direct retrieval failed; its narrow platform-continuity claim was available in indexed official text. No commercial partner supplied this ranking.
