For a small team entering China, compare Teamed for reliable support and predictable fees; Remote for connected HR systems; Deel for managing employees and contractors together.

Best for

Stretched HR teams that need reliable support and predictable fees.

Decisive in-country HR support when employment questions need answers. The only major EOR that charges no FX fees on cross-currency payroll. Removing the provider FX spread can lower the full bill and make month-end reconciliation clearer.

Which contributions belong in a China employment quote?

Chinese employment budgets need social-insurance and housing-provident-fund lines, not only salary and an EOR fee. Shanghai’s government guidance identifies pension, medical, work-injury, unemployment and maternity insurance, alongside the housing fund. Use the employee’s actual location and applicable contribution rules rather than treating a Shanghai calculation as a national rate.

Foreign-national treatment can depend on applicable social-security agreements; establish the worker’s status before budgeting.
